Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley Jr. will not exercise the early termination option in his contract, Yahoo Sports reported Thursday.

Conley, 33, will bypass free agency and return to the Jazz in 2020-21, earning $34.5 million in the final season of the five-year $153 million contract he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies in July 2016.

Conley averaged 14.4 points, 4.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds and made 96 3-pointers in 47 games (41 starts) in his first season with Utah in 2019-20.

The Jazz acquired him in a July 2019 trade with the Grizzlies, who picked him fourth overall in the 2007 draft. He is the all-time Memphis leader in games (788), points (11,733), assists (4,509), steals (1,161) and 3-pointers (1,086).
