The Anaheim Ducks signed free agent defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk to a three-year, $11.7 million deal Friday, multiple outlets reported.
Shattenkirk, 31, played for Tampa Bay this past season on a one-year “show me” deal for $1.75 million. He helped the Lightning capture the Stanley Cup.
He tallied 34 points (eight goals, 26 assists) in 70 regular season games and added 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 25 playoff games.
Shattenkirk has 383 points (83 goals, 300 assists) in 679 career games with the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers and Lightning.
Colorado selected the New York native with the 14th overall pick in the 2007 draft.
