Bengals sign Joe Mixon to 4-year deal

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing running back Joe Mixon to a four-year contract worth $48 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The deal will tie Mixon to Cincinnati for five more seasons.

Mixon rushed for 278 yards and five touchdowns in 2019, and has rushed for 2931 yards and 17 touchdowns for his career. He has posted 870 receiving yards for four touchdowns in his career.

The contract will place Mixon at sixth among running backs in terms of average annual value, behind Derrick Henry, David Johnson, Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott and Christian McCaffrey.
