Canada’s COVID-19 case total now over 118,000

Ontario reported 86 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, marking it the third consecutive day below 100 new cases.

Quebec health authorities reported 155 new COVID-19 cases and one new death. This is the first time in 5 days the number of new cases has exceeded 150.

New Brunswick has reporteed four new coronavirus cases, the first reported in the province since July 20, and the first time in 3 days there’s been any new cases in Atlantic Canada.

Nationally, there are 118,036 cases and 8,996 deaths due to COVID-19 in Canada. There have been 102,596 recoveries; the number of active cases is 6,440.
