Two people were killed and three others injured in a New Jersey car crash early Saturday, police said.

A black Infinity G35 was driving near the intersection of 15th Avenue and Hunterdon Street in Newark just after 3:30 a.m. when it crashed into a nearby street pole, according to NBC.

Two women in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, and three others — two men and a third woman — were rushed to an area hospital, officials told the station.

Both men were listed in critical condition and the woman was listed in stable condition.

It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.

The names and ages of the victims were not immediately released.
