Jalen Ramsey and Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone got into a scuffle on the sidelines during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Then, came Monday night’s leak that he wants out of Jacksonville.
“Let me be real clear on this. Me and my agent did not want this to leak,” Ramsey told the media on Tuesday. “I did not want this to be a distraction.”
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported Tuesday that there are teams interested in trading with Jacksonville for Ramsey. The offers so far, per Russini, are a 1st-round pick in 2020 and 5th-round pick in 2021 from an NFC Team, and a 1st-round pick in 2020 and a player from an AFC Team.
It’s obvious that there is tension among those in the organization, considering that the trade rumors came immediately after Sunday’s altercation with Ramsey and Marrone.
“I have nothing bad or negative to say about anyone in the building,” Ramsey said. “I don’t want to speak on it or give too much detail. I will let God do his work.
“All I care about is winning, man. Sh–, I want to f—ing win.”
The Jaguars have little time until their next contest, a match against the Tennessee Titans in Duval County on Thursday night.
“I’m super excited to play this Thursday…,” Ramsey added. “If I’m still here.”
